The Buddha said "Go forth, o Bhikkhus, for the good of the many, for the happiness of the many, out of compassion for the world, for the benefit, for the good, for the happiness of gods and men. Let not two go by one way. Preach the doctrine that is beautiful in its beginning, beautiful in its middle, and beautiful in its ending.
As the name of Bana Bhante, The Most Revered Venerable Sadhanananda Mahathera pervades in all directions with the fragrance of his virtue, people from all walks of life came to see him and take blessings. Even a glimpse of Bana Bhante would make the people go home happily. Such was the love and respect for Bana Bhante that Rajbana Vihara became an holy place. Today, the name ‘Bana Bhante’, is pronounced with great sanctity & high veneration among the Buddhist and Non-Buddhist of all walks of life living in Bangladesh and abroad.
Because of his spiritual power acquired through 12 long years of meditation in the deep forests of Dhanpata, To this day still, Most Respected Venerable Bana Bhante has become an object of ultimate veneration and living embodiment of the Buddha. Bana Bhante is believed to have attained the Buddhist Highest state of perfection (Arahant), one who has extinguished all defilements.
On the morning of June 2, 2007, Bana Bhante, Most Revered Venerable Sadhanananda Mahathera gave His blessings to His Chief Disciple Most Venerable Nandapal Mahathera to propagate the Dhamma and establish Bana Vihara Centers in India. In the land of the Enlightenment, Bodh Gaya, Most Venerable Nandapal Mahathera established Buddhagaya Bana Vihara with a mission to sow the Bodhi seeds and to promote a society where people of diverse cultures are able to define their own development paradigm and fulfill their economic, social, cultural, and spiritual aspirations.
Most Venerable Nandapal Mahathera has established Bana Vihara(s) in Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh & Kolkata benefiting thousands of people in India. At present, Most Ven. Nandapal Mahathera is actively engaged in teachings the Dhamma to the people in Bangladesh and India for their welfare and happiness.


Aims & Objectives
