The word Dhammayatra is derived from Dhamma, meaning goodness and truth, and Yatra, meaning progress or journey. Through this practice, the novices are trained to cultivate self-discipline, patience, and mindfulness, while learning to overcome inner defilements. At the same time, their peaceful procession inspires faith, calm, and reflection in all those who witness it.

The 500 Novice Mass Ordination Program at Sadhanarama Bana Vihara, Arunachal Pradesh, India 🇮🇳, was graced today by an enlightening Dhamma session on the Law of Karma. The teaching was delivered by Phrakhruvibulnitidham (Paiboon Dhammavipulo), Assistant Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, whose guidance brought clarity and depth to this fundamental teaching of the Buddha.

This timeless tradition is more than an act of giving food. It is a living practice that nurtures humility, contentment, and mindfulness in the Saṅgha, while allowing lay supporters to cultivate generosity (dāna) and gratitude. Through this shared practice, a deep sense of interconnectedness arises—strengthening the spiritual bond between the monastic community and the householders.

Today, an ordinary day becomes extraordinary as the sacred journey of the 500 Novice Mass Ordination Program continues under the august presence of Most Venerable Nandapala Mahāthera, the Founder and Supreme Patriarch of the International Sadhananandapala Banavihara Foundation (ISBF). His compassionate guidance and spiritual presence have transformed this moment into one of deep meaning and inspiration for all who are part of this historic occasion.
